+ XVI + 'We swept the Illium Rifts for days, unrelenting, day by day, hour by bloody hour. Even a flightless raven has claws enough to kill. It was the first time - in nearly a century and a half of war - that I grew tired of killing, tired of death. It was in those blackened heights that I learnt there is very little difference between being a warrior and being a murderer.'
+ Bjok the Younger + I came across this beauty while rummaging through some old boxes. So happy with this find! He needs stripping down, then I'll give him the makeover he deserves and add him to Hasdrubal's band. Any tips on stripping? Never done it!
+ XVI + Today I finished another small batch of Sons for my third squad, with another 6 in various stages of completion. This will bring me to 30 tacticals and about 2000pts of 8th Ed marines. Can't wait to play some matches! Anyone know of any true-scale events? I'd like to get involved with whatever truescale community is out there!
+ Knight-Captain Gueller + My first armoured support for the Cadian Last. A bit of a kitbash to test out winter camo schemes on vehicles. I went with a classic, Ww2-inspired white wash scheme that has become worn and chopped over time. I'm not entirely sure if I'm happy with it or not, but hopefully I'll get it down before the rest!
+ Special Weapons + Hard lessons were learnt after Cadia and new ideas were tested over the long Indomitus Crusade. Regiments began to introduce weaponry at a company-level for dealing with Heretic Astartes, increasing a company's capacity to respond aggressively to such threats. Dedicated plasma Squads, trained in fighting Astartes, were the first such measure introduced, partly - it is believed - under the reforming eye of Guilliman himself.
+ Mordheim + My two flagellants, ritually blinded so that they might pass through the City of the Damned and avoid staring too long into the abyss all around them.
+ Cadian Last + The start of a Kill-Team for my Cadians. I'm going to try and build a patrol/trench raider team with a suitable amount of axes, stick grenades and gasmasks. Here's a scout and a demolitions specialist.
+ Cadian Last + A better shot of Commissar H'Dane, political officer attached to C-Company. I'm picking up some pace with these troops now and I'm determined to paint an entire company of soldiers. Cadia Stands!
+ Librarian + I've been messing around with a librarian conversion for a while now and I have finally come up with this. It's understated, maybe too much so. Not sure!
+ Commissar H'Dane + I wanted a plastic Commissar that fitted in a little better with my troops. Here's the result!
+ The Hounds + These excellent miniatures are from the Malifaux range. They just scream Mordheim. Witch Hunter Ahab is there to give an idea of size.
